Royal Burgers to Showcase the GREIF Double Deck Drawbar at IAA Transportation 2026

Royal Burgers will unveil the new Double Deck Drawbar for GREIF Mietwäsche at IAA Transportation 2026. The trailer offers additional capacity for laundry transport, featuring a specially developed high-mount coupling for full compatibility with the fleet. On display at outdoor area S33 in Hanover.

At IAA Transportation 2026, Royal Burgers will showcase the new Double Deck Drawbar, developed for GREIF Mietwäsche. The trailer will be on display in outdoor area S33 and will demonstrate how additional transport capacity and customer-specific engineering enhance laundry logistics.

The Double Deck Drawbar is designed to efficiently transport large volumes of clean and used laundry between GREIF's production sites and distribution depots.

Increased Capacity for Laundry Logistics

Laundry is usually light but bulky. The available cargo space is often full before the vehicle’s maximum weight is reached. With two loading decks, GREIF makes better use of the available interior height and transports more roll containers per trip.

The trailer transports clean laundry from GREIF’s production sites to the distribution depots. Used laundry is returned to the production sites to be cleaned. A higher volume per trip means fewer transport trips, lower operating costs, and fewer CO2 emissions per unit transported.

For GREIF, the additional capacity is a direct response to rising transportation and diesel costs. At the same time, it supports a more efficient and sustainable logistics operation. As the company’s locations and customer base grow, more capacity is needed to deliver clean laundry and return used laundry to the production sites.

High-performance coupling for full compatibility with the vehicle fleet

An important technical feature of this Double Deck Drawbar is the specially developed high-mount coupling. Double Deck trailers are typically built with a low-mount coupling. GREIF needed a solution that would work with the various truck configurations in its existing fleet.
